Dallas 2026 (ATP 500)
(9 - 15 February) The Dallas is played on indoor hard courts at the Ford Center in Frisco. Since the 2025 venue change, data points to a medium-pace surface with a relatively low bounce.
The Ford Center, the new venue since 2025
The Dallas tournament is played over Indoor hard courts and this is the 5th year in the circuit.
Dallas was elevated to an ATP 500 event in 2025 and has been held since then at a new venue, the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, the training facility of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
The venue is located at around 200 metres of altitude, what can affect a bit the ball speed.
Speed Statistics
As the tournament moved to a new venue in 2025, I’m providing here statistics from 2025 only. By the way, I’ve just realized that in the ATP 2026 Tournament Speed guide I sent you, included data from the last four years, which is not appropiate given this change. Only the 2025 figures should be considered.
- 72.0% Points won on 1st Serve
- 83.0% Service Hold
- 0.58 Aces/Game
- 0.18 Tie-breaks / Set
Past Winners
2025: Shapovalov d. Ruud (new venue)
2024: Paul d. Giron
2023: Wu d. Isner
2022: Opelka d. Brooksby
Weather
As this is an indoor tournament, weather will not affect play directly. Outside temperatures are expected to range from 16–28 °C (61–82 °F) during the day and 7–16 °C (45–60 °F) at night, with a warmer start, a cooler mid-week dip, and milder conditions again toward Thu–Fri.
That said, higher outdoor humidity later in the week—with increased cloud cover and showers—may slightly raise indoor moisture levels, making balls feel marginally heavier and slower.
Players Quotes
Paul, 2025: "It was tough for him on these courts since they are quite fast and the balls don’t bounce much. These courts kind of help me a little bit, they aren't jumping as high as some of the other courts we've played on. It kind of kept the balls in my strike zone a little bit more."
Fritz, 2025: "I’d say it’s playing pretty medium speed. When the balls get a bit more worn out it gets a little slower. But a pretty solid speed overall."
Summary
We only have one year of data at the new venue, and the statistics point to a medium-pace hard court.
As Tommy Paul noted last year, the ball bounce appears to be relatively low.
Across the 12 qualifying matches played, the first-serve points won rate was 69.9%, which is consistent with a medium-pace surface.
